I think of myself as a country girl,although I was born and raised in large urban areas...go figure! I have a partner,Hawk_ii,and a 14 year old son,Al-both are my life! I also have a fun job working for an international air express company...never a dull moment! I am deeply interested in the American Civil War,as I consider it the pivotal point in our nation's history,and I'm a voracious reader of all things pertaining.On a gentler note,I enjoy crafts such as crosstitch and quilting...and also enjoy the Web...although I'm definitely a 'Net novice!! |

Life in Florida...Paradise East

Although I'm not a scuba diver (like our friend to the right!),I love loving in Florida...no snow to shovel,no ice to scrape....the ocean is only 10 minutes away,and driving is allowed on our beach.This may or may not be environmentally sound,but it is certainly a facet of the beach's popularity. We have tiny lizards and geckos darting about in the flora,and any body of water such as a lake or retaining pond will likely have a 'gator or two in it!! |

Likes.... | The ocean at sunrise- The leaves turning colors along the Blue Ridge in Virginia- Good seafood restaurants- Visits to Tarpon Springs, Florida-a wonderful old Greek fishing village on the Gulf- Fourth of July fireworks- Dislikes.... Driving behind very old people-too slow! People that feign ignorance to get ahead- Spicy food too late at night-oh,my aching tummy!
